can say um you already have a website if you have an existing domain or if you’re launching a new website you just search for it right here right so I recommend you start with a personal brand because we don’t have to choose the perfect Niche at the beginning you don’t have to be like this really specific Niche site you can just put it as your name.com and then that allows you the freedom to Pivot into all kinds of revenue streams multiple traffic sources and you really building a true brand here and you know like my name for example if I put that in and I search for it it would say that it’s taken right so it’s not available but I you know if if your name’s not taken like some people ask me like I have a really weird long name just use it right it’s okay your name’s not weird or if your name is taken it’s a very common name like John Smith you could add your middle name you could add something add or you could add like Johns advice.com John’s um guide.com something that’s kind of specific to you but we just wanted the main goal here for the domain name is to just be broad enough to be able to Pivot the content and change niches if we need to because we don’t want to hamstring and pigeon hole ourselves that’s why most people fail so I found a nice one here Johnny advice.com one year 13.99 for the domain name so the domain name is separate from the web hosting so $ 13.99 a year is a116 per month so really not much there so you would just click continue and then you would choose your plan you’d select your location so if you’re in the Europe you would choose this Australia I’m going to select you know one of the Americas here and then you just enter your information um you could you would see I’m getting the domain and monthly so it’s 38 bucks um you get all of these you enter your personal information you pay you check out then you get into your dashboard once you’re in it’s actually super simple all you do is go to manage services you click manage your website and then it takes you to this dashboard you click manage WP and that will get you into your WordPress dashboard welcome to WordPress super simple right there’s posts for your blog posts media library for your images and all that kind of stuff pages are actually pages on your site like about uh your homepage things that you can design simply comments are your blog comments and then under appearance you have themes so that’s like the theme the main design of your site and then any plugins which extend the functionality things like SEO plugins uh image optimizers just things that you need for maybe affiliate marketing I’ll show you those users is who you can you know you can add users to log into the dashboard there’s some tools you don’t really use that that much settings generally around your general settings of your site what the name of it is is it allowed to be indexed on Google things like that so the first step is to choose a WordPress theme so you go to appearance themes what I like is the Cadence theme I added that one in you just search for it and then you click install and then you have it in your site and you can go to plugins add new plugin and I searched for Cadence here and I added both the Gutenberg blocks with AI by Cadence WP this is like the Cadence blocks plugin so it’s just adding content blocks things that look different than just text and then I also added the AI powered starter templates now you’ll see that Cadence has appeared in the menu you can go to Cadence starter templates and this is really cool this uses AI to create a website for you so you put in some prompts so it gets you to Industry information I’m a English site I’m an individual my name is Adam androy online only I don’t have a service area and then I said I’m a food blog right for this example hit next and then you tell you write a brief description about your business so here the example here is like four paragraphs so who you are what you write about what you offer all of that kind of stuff so I put in my name is Adam infra food blog some information about it I’m going to say improve with AI and I’m going to say it’s writing so I’m a food blogger who specializes in Sharing tips for cooking skills goals to assist beginners yeah that’s good so we’ll use that we’ll hit next yes that’s fine next so then I’m going to go into the writing style cuz it’s going to WR stuff for the website here it’s going to fill in the information for my pages so I’m going to say food blogger kitchen gadgets healthy food choices cooking products cooking tips affordable ingredients I’m going to use all of these and then I’m going to choose my tone I’m going to say my tone is actually informative and then I’m going to hit next my site goals so this is where you can put in your goals so if you’re a different type of site like you’re a uh nonprofit or you sell products or your local business it’s going to be different but for this one I’m just going to say I want to write blog posts so it’s uh layouts that work for bloggers next so then what it did is it automatically created featured images and background images for the site just to put into the media library so we don’t even have to worry about it it uses pixels royalty-free images and then you just so it’s like that looks cool I could click edit the collection to change it but uh you can remove it you can add stuff you can add your own photos right if you have you go to pixels or unsplash or one of the royaltyfree ones you can add things to it can add captions it already comes with alt text which is really cool but we’re just going to hit generate base content so once you’re done it’ll take you back to the menu we want to make sure that the theme is actually installed and activated so activate the Cadence theme then once we go back to Cadence and click starter templates we can actually choose from a number of really goodlook website templates I’m going to pick this one and look at this welcome Foodies look at this it’s already laid out with pictures recipes all that I’m going to highlight change the color to Blue that looks nice you can do a lighter dark background I’m going to do a light background with the color saturation of one and then the fonts and all that that looks good import example blog post sure why not advanced settings example products events now that’s fine I’m going to hit next uh you can choose any plugins you want to do you don’t have to add any right now just hit finish and launch start import then that’s it then your website will get up and running and then you can look at the site and it’s like it’s already pretty much done which is really cool what you would do if you want to edit all you have to do is edit the text at this point you would just click edit page up here and it’ll take you to it and look you can just drag and drop change the text any type of thing that you want right change the links to things right add links by clicking that button so it’s giving you the homepage is pretty much done you can just change the text if you want to so anything that you want if you wanted to add like a new section to the bottom or anywhere you just click the design library and it’ll show you all kinds of different things so like videos hero images cards you know forms Gallery all kinds of different things you can just drop in so it already has a contact page honestly just change the information removes things that you don’t want and then it has an about page really simple right you can just change this picture to anything you want maybe a picture of yourself any other information you want but it already has those pages done that you need then we go to blog and look it already created sample blog posts so look at this top tips for generating ideas so this is where your blogs will live it already has the title the layout looks really nice already really uh clean formatting and we can go from there so if we go back to the dashboard and post this is where all the blog posts live so if we wanted to edit one we can just click on it we would just click add new post really simple and then this is what we do so this is the actual layout of a blog post you would give it a title and then you would start writing now what you can also do is you can with cadence blocks you just click the plus button and you can add lots of different things images galleries paragraphs list you can click browse all and it’ll show all of them so you can have lots of different things like icon lists right maybe it’s like pros you could say uh have a list of like pros and cons and write them in here right if you want to link to anything you just click it and link right you can link to individual Pages by clicking on it like this would link to the uh contact page page you click on it you can remove the link uh here we remove it right there and then also you can type in a URL link to it that way then you can edit the link you would say Advanced if you’re doing an external link open it in a a new tab right we don’t want people leaving your website so it’s really simple to use literally just all kinds of different things you can add you can mess around with it I would even say you know uh you can go here plus I’m going to say add an image it has you know our Library already has images in it you can upload stuff but you could just select one like this nice ceramic bull picture right so it looks good You’ have a title your featured image and then you just keep going down you can add more okay I want more I’m going to do paragraph because that’s the normal text or you could do uh instead heading right so H2 so we’ll cover exactly how to do it right so very simple drag and drop editor built a website in like 3 minutes and then we can just start our blog strategy to actually start making money so let’s get into that so if we want to make money with affiliate marketing ads sponsorships selling our own products all of that this begins and ends for a Blog with keyword research so we start doing that we can use a tool like HS which is a more expensive option honestly it’s $129 a month which is Out Of Reach for a lot of beginners but it is the best number one goat SEO tool right so that’s a good option if you have the money for it you can do all your keyword research within a month for like 6 months of content and then just cancel it if you want to or if you want to go cheaper key search is very similar so that one is only let’s see the pricing is uh you can start for free but you only get five searches so $17 a month right you get 200 searches you can do the same type of analysis what we’re looking for in keyword research is the actual articles that we’re going to create that we can rank for that can actually make us money that we can drive traffic from Pinterest to even or other traffic sources but it starts with a keyword in mind so what keywords are we going to actually Target for this website well there’s two types of keywords you ever need to write informational and transactional informational keywords are what people search Google for right information how to do stuff how to build a shed how to plant strawberries how to do this or that or ideas uh patio furniture ideas um camping ideas camping essential checklists things that are just informational in nature and they’re easy to find and then second is transactional so these are for affiliate Revenue so blogs and like these Aid driven you know websites are really mediators between somebody thinking of product in their mind and then searching for it on Google and then they get to Google they click the blog they read this comparative content that helps them make a buying decision so it lives between the search and the purchase so for example people search for best laptops best credit cards best gaming laptop under $1,000 best free vpns best you know remote dog toys literally anything people are searching for and there’s thousands and thousands and millions of products right that we can talk about so uh a website Strate needs both informational and transactional in order to make money transactional will drive affiliate Revenue because people are looking for the best products they’ll click a link and then they’ll if they purchase through that link you can make affiliate commissions the informational post like how to do stuff that’s great for ad Revenue people search for that stuff a lot and also it will build your email list so that’s key you can use a free tool like convert kit which is 100% free when you’re just starting out um and that will allow you to create forms on your site so integrate simple exit intent popup so when someone’s about to leave your site they can see that they can enter their email address to get a lead banget or something like that when they enter so that’s down the line we will be selling your own product but at the beginning you can just start building your email list with nothing yet in it right there’s no problem doing that and then also you can get add revenue for those types of informational articles so when we think about you in a niche right we’re going to be teaching something because teaching is the primary component of monetization you have to teach people what to do and then provide the solu tion that’s what a business is then we also have to you know showcase the products that they need to do those things and that’s where affiliate marketing can come in so the key here is we have to find keywords that we can get traffic to that are people are actively searching for it and that aren’t too competitive because timing is actually the hidden crucial component of keyword research if we try to write about things that have been around for 20 years they’re going to be more competitive so things like best web hosting best vpns big sites have written about that media sites like 20 years ago they solidified their rankings they’ve gotten tens of thousands of views and that is now a stable consistent result in Google’s eyes they’re not going to rank a new blog for it so the key is finding new and emerging products that we can write about and this is easy in any Niche and we just use the word best because best signifies buyer intent best means I’m searching for the best dog toys right not just dog toys if you search for a product by itself like laptops for example you’re going to see on Google Dell Best Buy Walmart the people actually selling the laptop because you’re just looking for the actual product page but if you’re searching for best laptops that’s where websites come in content sites that provide the recommendations so best signifies buyer intent and you can use it in any Niche so you just put in best plus your Niche I’m going to put in dog then I’ll go to matching terms that shows me everything that includes the two words best plus dog plus any other word in there so you’re going to see the keyword difficulty score that’s KD that’s a number from 0 to 100 based on the difficulty of the keyword so the higher the number the harder it is to rank four so for example you see best dog food here I mean that’s going to be tough right ranking on Google for best dog food searched 55,000 times a month 63 which is pretty difficult if we go down to who’s ranking for it we can see the top 10 results right here so we have dog food advisor.com AP News New York Times NBC News uh akc.org petmd fresh pet it’s pretty tough right you can see the Dr the domain rating of the websites this is a number from 0 to 100 that is scale a scale of their Authority so if they’re you know 94 that’s the New York Times right how are we going to outrate them a lower Dr site can rank a higher Dr site and if you’re just starting out it’s going to be zero the key here though is we can’t outrank if you start a Dr zero website right we have no links to our site yet we have no Authority yet we don’t have topical Authority we have no articles you need to find low Dr sites on the first page of Google so you’ll see it it’ll happen for this one right it’s ult cuz all the sites are already high domain Authority like Petco we’re not going to rank outrank these sites so how do we find new things that we can rank for so what we do is we drop the keyword difficulty score down so I’m going to say maximum of five even if we’re just starting out we want to be like zero to five at the easiest possible keywords that we can rank for so we’ll see a lot of different stuff best dog food for sensitive stomach best dog clippers best dog dog nail grinder dog vacuum for dog ha dog shampoo for itchy skin dog crate training collar you can see like when we put it this way there’s 8,642 keywords right so it’s thinking like I would never come up with a lot of this stuff on my own and I didn’t realize how many keyword opportunities there were until you use a tool like this you realize oh yeah there’s like thousands of dog products there’s thousands of Technology products kitchen gadgets outdoor goods knitting crocheting woodworking kayaking fishing camping hunting like survival gear homesteading prepping software Finance Fitness credit cards workouts all this stuff I’m going crazy saying it but there’s a lot of you know random things you’d never think of so you find the keyword okay I’m going to add that to the list it’s got low difficulty good search volume so the key with this is like you find in a specific subn you want to Target that really you want to go after you would uh find like you know 10 of these 10 opportunities in one specific area because we don’t want to go too broad you don’t want to say best dog toys and best cat homes and then best hamster toys right like you have to stay quite specific because if you’re just starting out with a brand new website Google doesn’t think you’re an expert in anything yet so if you go broad then you’re going to need to have more backlinks and more authority to rank for a bunch of broad stuff that’s what big media sites do they can write about anything under the sun you got Forbes and writing about blenders and random products that they have no business writing about but they rank for it because they have authority so when we’re just starting out we need to just stay in one specific sub Niche based on looking at your personality what you want to talk about what you want to teach a niche that is interesting to you based on your experience your identity the market demand based on keywords so with that we would find like 10 of these best transactional keywords and then we can find more informational keywords so for staying in the pet Niche I could put in like dog ideas right ideas is a way to find informational keywords so there’s things like not like tattooed ideas CU that’s a tattoo related topic but things like um homemade outdoor dog kennel ideas right dog room IDE is a dog gets an entire room in the house right with a balcony and a soaking tub and whatever else they give dogs these days cuz people are obsessed dog costume ideas birthday ideas dog birthdays getting a cake and eating it people love their dogs okay and they will search for crazy things but you can see dog wash station ideas so ideas is one you could also put in how to and then dog so it’ll give you all the random things for howto so howto and ideas gives you a bunch of informational keywords and then we’re looking for ones like how to draw dog no that’s related to drawing and animation that wouldn’t work how much benad drill to give a 50 lb dog so we can find it drop the difficulty again down to five and then we can see all right what should we write that has good search volume and low keyword difficulty so you’re trying to find things that are like keyword difficulty under five search volume monthly like the 10,000 that’s a lot and you know these tools are just tools you might find an opportunity that says like 10 not 10,000 but just 10 and it’s like it’s still worth writing because sometimes new keywords they’re not even in these tools yet there’s some AI based keywords I was writing about and they didn’t even show up at all with any search volume in this tool because it was just so new so take it with a grain of salt a little bit but just think of like how we can stack rank what we’re going to write about on this website by just kind of looking it all right keyword difficulty should be under five and then just maybe you stack rank it at first by the search volume because that can get you more uh traffic but you can see a lot of different a lot of ton of different things how to cut overgrown dog nails right so you got a lot of random stuff you got to kind of go through how to get rid of smelly fish fishy smell from female dog oh God this some of this stuff is too much sometimes you find weird horrible searches that you don’t want to look at how to get dog poop out of the carpet yes I’ve dealt with that a lot I have three dogs myself and they like peeing inside the house and slobbering on things getting hair everywhere you know the usual stuff so to recap best plus product categories in your Niche equals transactional affiliate revenue for list post that people will click on and buy from uh informational keywords include ideas how-to guides random things in your Niche that might include other words that you can write about get a lot of traffic to build your email list and generate ad revenue and the informational intents a little bit different in every Niche so we can’t always put how to or ideas in we might have a couple other things like if you’re in food it’s going to be recipes right so if I drop the difficulty down we can see different recipes that are easier to rank for with Fitness it’s going to be the informational intent like think about it what do people search for informationally in Fitness well it’s how to bench press how to do pull-ups that kind of stuff but also just like exercises would be the seed phrase chest exercises back exercises or workouts hit workout high intensity interval or random things related to that so we would look and put those phrases in like recipes like workouts and remember every Niche has slightly different informational intent but the goal here is to just do some keyword research use key search if you want to it has the same kind of functionality um or just one month of HFS put this into a spreadsheet so you create a column for all the keywords you could put the difficulty and the search volume in there just to kind of remember so you can organize it based on what you think can make you the most money so maybe it’s like the the gold mine would be lots of search volume very little competition and it’s a transactional best post for an expensive product right that would be crazy that doesn’t exist in most cases but you can find those opportunities they actually are out there because there’s so many different random products you can write about another one is like super high search volume for an informational post with a low difficulty maybe you start writing those first but we have to stay in one little pocket area so it’s like if we’re talking about hot tubs and we’re obsessed with hot tubs we write about how to clean them how to sit in them how to you know put water in them how to drain them and we’re just love them and we know the best you know four person hot tubs best two person six person best for this best for that we would create that content that’s not to say like you yes you can pigeon hole yourself in that area but that’s why we don’t call the website at the beginning the hot tub guy or girl.com cuz then you’re kind of stuck right you can go into one really deep specific subn and then once you’ve blanketed that topical Authority and you have 20 to 30 articles there then you can always pivot and move over to like spas or saunas then you start writing best infrared sauna best at home sauna best Barrel sauna how to prep a sauna how to assemble a sauna all those types of things right so you start with one then you can move to shoulder niches that’s Poss when you start and get topical Authority first because we have to cover a lot of different things at least to get traffic on Google so then we we can move over to other things too but we don’t want to go too broad at the beginning where we’re talking about hot tubs and like pools and all kinds of stuff cuz we’re just going to confuse Google so we have to first break through by ranking for easy informational content so literally put zero put zero in here and then just find like the easiest possible stuff so the easiest recipes to rank for right now are like Pokemon sleep dessert recipes that’s not real food right that’s more of a gaming keyword so we can find them so things like campfire recipes like maybe you’re only you’re you’re writing about cooking outside and that’s your new so campfire recipes find keyword difficulty of zero things that have volume but don’t just let these tools this is very nuanced stuff and I appreciate you watching this and sticking around because this is a lot of nuanced stuff like we don’t want to only just like okay I see Spanish rice recipes the ulty zero it’s searched 2100 times a month I’m going to write that because the SEO report tells me to well does your audience want Spanish rice recipes in the future like are you building a rice based Vlog right we don’t want to just chase the keyword right this is a real business so this has to tie into helping an audience building a brand around yourself so it has to make sense at the same time for from a business perspective all right so we have our keywords like 20 in a spreadsheet that we want to write so what do we actually do now well we create the content the good news is we don’t have to be great writers there’s lots of tools out there that can help us so to recap so far we’ve gotten wpx web hosting Cadence WP paying for it annually and key search the cheaper keyword research tool that uh that total will be $54.40 a month and then we would add our final tool which is our content optimization tool so writing content isn’t just using a blank page and hoping you rank it’s using an AI based SEO tool that will literally tell us all the different keywords and variations to put into our articles so that Google using natural language processing when they scan the article they believe it’s a really good article so that’s kind of onpage SEO in a nutshell you can use there run an entire content business so these content optimization tools pretty much look the same you have your article here you put in your target keyword from your list and then you start writing your content and you know it gives you a score so you want to just get to like the 60s or 70s we don’t want to over optimize and get to the 90s and just stuff keywords in and it’s really crappy right so it shows you how many words headings paragraphs it should have kind of scanning the top ranking sites for this and then this is the most important part so this is the semantic keywords that need to be in the article so semantic keywords are things that are like related to the Target keyword that show and tell Google not like trick but kind of trick Google into making it seem like a really good article so for example and you can’t really figure these out on your own without a tool like this so Google scans every article it reads right it goes from page to page link to link and scans the entire internet when sites are index that’s how it works right so it knows what words mean on a page so for this one for example this keyword is like content creation tools I wouldn’t necessarily be able to come up with something like um oh I don’t know something like visual content creation or high quality images your own photos keyword research web apps things that I wouldn’t really think of right it’s like podcasting tools this can give you kind of hints of what to write too so like I probably should include a podcasting tool in here if I was going to update this graphic design tools and it’s just Google Trends quizzes social media presence like I wouldn’t think to use that necessarily in the you know back of my head like okay the articles on content creation tools I need the word social media presence in here I wouldn’t thought of that so what you can do is add some of them in and add them strategically you don’t add all 80 so I’ve seen I’ve analyzed a lot of top ranking big sites that are doing well and they use like half so like 40 of the 80 you want to get it into the range so it says you know content creation is used typically 23 to 28 times I used it 18 I could use it a little bit more this is just ballpark stuff much like keyword research tools is ballpark this is just ballpark stuff to just get it good enough because then after we have this in we write the stuff in a pretty simple way we have to realize that the world loves lists so whether it’s a one like mine on the 15 best podcast hosting platforms it’s a list it’s an introduction what is the best Target keyword right that’s the how you optimize an article and then it just gets into the picks list of the top seven same is true of like this article I wrote on this 47 best faceless YouTube channel ideas intro what are they list cooking videos productivity and lifestyle fashion and beauty so it’s like really easy to create and write articles because you have to realize we’re not like writing from a blank page in something that’s impossible whether it’s a howto guide an ideas post like informational in nature that’s a list how to do things is a series of steps same thing with these seven or 10 best products in your Niche that is product 1 2 3 4 5 so the best way to format it to rank on Google uh and tell them exactly like structure it in the right way you know your H1 heading is your title so your title should include the target keyword in it and then it includes what I call search intent trigger words things that are kind of Click worthy to get people to click on it and then you have your introduction four paragraphs we want it to be somewhat short you know and then you get your first H2 heading so this is important H1 is the title H2 is the second most important heading type so if for example this whole thing was just paragraph text and just paragraph paragraph paragraph Google wouldn’t understand like what’s the most important part of this what is this about so the H2 heading should include your target keyword in the form of a question if it’s about the best product the H2 is what is the keyword right so what is the best podcast hting now Google understands this is important the title has the keyword the H2 heading has the keyword and then these are H3 headings so the companies are h3s so the list items under a question heading would be h3s so those are the really the only ones you need H1 is used once it’s the title H2 is used a couple times throughout as kind of the questions the main focus questions and then H3 is the list items underneath so you do that format you add something like Surfer SEO to add all the semantic keywords in you add some images in the Run writer look it looks exactly the same so it’s kind of the same idea right it’s just mainly for finding all these semantic keywords we add we then finish the article I usually start in the middle kind of in the main list items write the intro and the conclusion last right generally how long it should be so like this one on content creation tool should have been 2900 to 3,300 words uh mine’s a lot longer for some reason I don’t know but uh and then we publish it so we would go to WordPress we would click on posts add new post all you would do is add the title this is where the H1 heading would go that’s the title that’s where you put it and then you would just start writing writing the intro and then you would add your first H2 heading so heading H2 you select it there right so it’s like what is the best Target keyword word Target keyword like that right or if best is in the keyword it would just be right and then you if you hit enter it goes back to paragraph text you can add images just going to this image media library already has a bunch delicious green noodles oh my goodness look at that amazing and then you just go down the list and keep creating it that way so it’s really simple if you’re using Surfer you can actually also add the surfer uh WordPress plugin you click on it and then I haven’t logged in but you just put your keyword in you generate it and then you can view this entire thing within WordPress as you’re editing it so that makes it a lot easier right to be editing it and seeing all the keywords you need to add while you’re doing it so it’s like if you can just get in the habit of just writing is a good skill to have you don’t need to be an expert at it but you just start kind of getting in the habit of creating these sentences writing things out maybe you’re just doing 250 words a day well guess what that’s a couple blog posts every single week couple other things you want to add a few internal links once you start having more content you just add some internal links into your copy so if this one’s on a certain food recipe thing right then I uh you would add another one UN likee in my other guide on uh you know um shiny sandwich recipes I talk about blah blah blah blah and then you click this internal link right it would it could show up here but you would just search for it if you had the other one published shiny s it would appear you’d click that and that so you would add um it’s good to add internal links into the introduction somewhere early on that just helps with engagement so people if they’re interested they can click and read more it lowers your balce rate which is a good thing you could add some internal links to the beginning and to the end and it’s pretty simple like if you wanted to add one to two external links if it’s really helpful content right we want to like if there’s a National Institute of Health article about the benefits of green pasta I would probably include that right so a couple reputable sources as well another thing you can do is add the Thirsty Affiliates plugin so if we want to add affiliate links in you click install now that one adds it in and then what this is this is really nice so I’m going to install it I’m going to activate it and then it will appear over here somewhere eventually if I refresh the page into thirsty Affiliates right here so what you do is you’d add a new affiliate link so you join an affiliate program right we’ll cover that join an affiliate program and then you paste in the random string CU affiliate links You’ paste it in and it’s like you’ll see your affiliate link is like if you recommending Bluehost it’s like bluehost.com SL do beep beep right it’s like some random string of letters and numbers but what this does you give it the title of blue host and then all of a sudden you can add a category like maybe it makes no sense on a food blog but I’m going to add the category of web hosting and I’m going to say no follow this link yes no make sure to no follow affiliate links doesn’t pass any SEO value that way open it in a new tab yes you can change these global settings and under the Thirsty Affiliates setting so that it always just is yes automatically and you save the link so what happens is when you’re then editing a uh see oh it’s not a URL so if I copied it it would have been fine so now we have this and what you can do is you would change the settings to make the link um where is this you would go to to link appearance it could be recommends right so it would be just my website.com reccommends blost so it makes the look the link look nicer uh you can no follow the links here open in a new tab here save that but what happens is when you go to the Post then this is just the random one I was editing you can then find the affiliate links in here so I could say this is now see the TA appeared ta thirsty affiliate so I can click on that instead of adding a link this way I add it this way and then I just search blue host click that done boom now the affiliate Link’s there so it’s another way to add the affiliate links in and it tracks and organizes it the benefit is if I have 10 affiliate links to one company and then all of a sudden the affiliate link my affiliate link changes or it’s a new page or product I don’t have to go in and manually edit every single link I just go to the actual thirsty Affiliates plugin and I look at my links I click on it I click this and then I just edit edit it right here change that to something else hit save and then it changes it sitewide so that’s the benefit then one quick note on like joining affiliate programs it’s really simple So within your best product category you search for a brand within there some of the most popular ones like here I had to search like Blu host affiliate program I would click that and like hey I Jo I want to join then I find like okay well if I click join It’s actually an impact radius so I have an impact radius account which is an affiliate Network I made like not much $400 last month but you’d find them in here you go to Brands and you click join the program partner stack is another affiliate Network that has a number of Partners within it so you can see I’ve made $1.2 million uh through partner stack making $4.1 million for different brands in here with 200,000 clicks so it’s pretty consistently making like 30 grand a month here but you can see um your programs I’m in I’m in a number of different ones right so you can see the individual ones here and then you can do discover new Partnerships within an AFF Network where it tells you you know I want to join this one so all of that kind of stuff and then you can see like that’s what it can look like in a network but also individual companies have affiliate programs like my buzz Sprout one you can see it went started at $14 a month and then it’s just slowly compounded with recurring commissions until it’s at like5 or $6,000 a month and that’s been continuing since 2020 2019 so but that one looks a lot different really an affiliate network is really about um looking at your data so seeing the information grabbing your affiliate link which is kind of different in everyone like this one would be content uh assets and then you’d find your affiliate Link in there that you copy and paste in partner stack you’d go into the individual company you copy and paste the link that way and this this is an old look at what I’m not quite sure how to even do it anymore they might have just given me one but really just with an affiliate link you join an affiliate Network or an affiliate program you join at the company level and then they if they approve you or not which sometimes it you know beginners it can be really challenging to get approved if you have no traffic yet which is again why I recommend you apply to the affiliate program once you have some traffic and even then they might not answer you affiliate managers are busy people for these companies so like don’t be alarmed like I’ve gotten rejected you know even when I have like 500,000 visitors and a YouTube channel all that I’ve gotten rejected for affiliate programs because sometimes it’s automated so you can often find the affiliate manager on LinkedIn or somewhere else email them and say hey I applied did you check cuz sometimes these applications they just go in this queue and this random piece of software and they’re not really checking every day so that’s how you can get approved you know get a domain name email address with Google workspace um it’s better than a Gmail just a something gmail.com that might not help get you approved right so IDE is you get approved you grab your link you copy and paste it into thirsty Affiliates it’s pretty much it and then you just look and wait and look at the reporting and see how much and he clicks you’re generating and sales for the brands and then you would put like a Paypal in there um to get paid out most of them do PayPal if you’re International there’s also something to do like bank account you just put in your checking account or whatever it is you don’t need like a business you can just do it as a sole proprietor but you do have to pay taxes on any income that you generate you’re like technically a $199 contractor if you’re an affiliate now when it comes to affiliate marketing you might have seen like oh I have some fancy little table boxes here so you’re going to see that on a lot of different sites like for affiliate articles how it’s laid out can help like don’t over complicate it just you could create a simple post on without this box and it’s just text images and the company names right we don’t have to overdo it at first I wouldn’t even worry about it at the very beginning we just have to get traffic but if you wanted to create more content blocks for affiliate revenue and making it look nice you would just go to this plus you’d hit browse and then let’s just see what we have we have all kinds of different stuff so there’s like Cadence blocks right that’s what we’re looking for so I would want to have like an info box this is cool like company one and then I could add like more content there or I could have something like uh let’s see what else we have so if you go all the way down there’s like lots of things we can add theme navigation posts you could add more posts underneath I don’t really need that I would add like okay a progress bar right that’s interesting um count up countdown icons text accordians that would be a good one to add so you could say I want it to look like this this so then I could say like a question here Pros pros of using company a whatever the if you’re reviewing a product right you open it up and you say um okay I’m going to add a heading or I’m just going to add actually paragraph text so pros of using it and then I’m going to do list icon list uh it’s good it’s not bad it’s okay and it’s not great but decent right so it looks kind of nice right like you can just add little things in there where it’s like uh company here’s the main features of it pros of using it cons of using it so there’s ways to lay out the content and you can add columns like add an image on the left add some text on the right so you can look at a lot of different uh websites for inspiration but I wouldn’t overthink the crazy amount of content blocks that you’re creating at the beginning but this is how we lay out content so we use a tool like Surfer or neuron writer as a cheaper version We optimize it with the title as an H1 H2 headings and just making sure that we created as a list with simple content some images adding these semantic keywords in and then you hit publish okay so let’s talk about monetization here because it’s pretty simple right you saw me build a website in less than five minutes you saw me do keyword research you saw me like type away it’s like if we can use Microsoft Word you can make this work so how do we monetize this though well okay let’s say we write some articles informational and transactional well there’s four main types of monetization when it comes to a website one is ADS so just adding banner ads into your site right in the sidebar and in in the content you could join a media Network like uh an ad Network like media Vine they are a good one I wouldn’t really join ad cense you’re making like Pennies on you it’s just not worth it you don’t make enough money especially when we’re just starting out I joined when I had like a few thousand visits a month and I was making like a dollar a month or something absurd so mediavine is a pretty good one I was in there for a while I would wait though until you’re getting about 10,000 at least visits a month before thinking about putting banner ads in it’s just not really worth the time and effort when instead again going from point A to point B making the most money faster it’s really about just consistently having the time management in your life to just keep publishing new content uh in the right strategy ads we weigh on a little bit we don’t have to take any action at the beginning just know that look up medine when you’re at like 10K a month affiliate that’s something you can start early but again we want to get some traffic to these articles first the goal for the first 30 60 90 days is to just publish content build topical Authority in one area don’t worry about monetizing it yet honestly if you want to make you affiliate revenue from day one start a YouTube channel because you can just drop affiliate links in the YouTube description and get views right it takes a little bit of time to rank content on Google so we want to know that you know to rank affiliate articles we can’t just write all affiliate articles best this best that best this then Google thinks you’re a spammy scammy affiliate site we need info content so how much do we need probably 80% 80 to 90% informational to 10 to 20% transactional cuz you have to be known for one thing so like if somebody hits your homepage is your content helpful you know that’s another part of uh actually creating the content it’s like putting some expert quotes in telling stories showing examples like do you have to use every product that you write about not necessarily but you will stand out and actually stand a better chance if you do know about the products right if you’re talking about hot tubs now I don’t recommend you buy 7 $20,000 hot tubs but maybe there’s a showroom nearby or you have access to some type of product right so you can take pictures of yourself with it you can say what you like and dislike about products not just taking things from other websites copying it or copying features over like you’re not adding anything to the conversation so you want to add something to the conversation showcase your own expertise maybe you add a sentence in the intro like I’ve been servicing hot tubs for the last 15 years I own a hot tub Servicing Company and I know that XYZ is the most important thing when cleaning your hot tub in an article on that right so you can showcase your expertise early on um so that’s a part of it too but really we want 90 80 to 90% informational content like if you’re like I was Googling something recently on like Airbnb businesses or starting a bed and breakfast or a small hotel or like that kind of like investment advice and I landed on a site about starting an Airbnb business and like the info was good it was like everything was kind of laid out in a good way and like think about your audience and who’s reading your website and like what articles will actually help them right so it’s not about creating a random affiliate site and writing about like the best treadmills the best ellipticals the best fitness trackers the best this how to do push-ups how to do sit-ups how to do that’s just so Broad and boring right that’s just like any content site out there so what could you put your unique perspective on a little bit you know do a little bit better than other people to actually stand out and really help in a specific area so it’s kind of figuring out your sub Niche figuring out that info content which is kind of the first step so there’s affiliate which we’ll talk about and then your own products so again we want to build your email list so you can use a thing like convert kit this is my old account I have like this is I don’t use convertkit anymore we actually change but for beginners it’s perfect um I had 89,000 I have like 140,000 now but this was back in the day so what we would do is you go to uh send no you go to grow landing pages and forms you click on that you get to this page you create a new form it’s really simple you create a new form a modal form uh I like this one this one looks good choose it okay so this is like an exit intent popup right so someone visits your informational article we want to get their email address before they leave because otherwise your website’s just like a leaky bucket not making any money everyone talks about ad Revenue but that’s kind of The Last Resort honestly ad Revenue you can make yes when you have banner ads on but you want to eventually sell your own product we don’t we probably don’t know what it is yet we’re not going to know what it is but it’d be nice to just start building your email list I built my email list to 40,000 people without a product I just sent them a 7-Day series of emails automated emails with a single PDF checklist I got made on Fiverr so Fiverr this is one instance where I would use Fiverr you could get a lead bang that done for like 20 bucks which is a simple like 15 page guide or a checklist or something in your Niche that makes sense because remember when people are entering their email address in they’re providing that but they want something out of it it’s it’s kind of an exchange of value so for example if you’re doing woodwork working you could have get my 10 essential woodworking tools checklist it’s like one page but it actually makes sense and it’s helpful right so that’s what this would look like you can edit the text you can change all that you go to settings and then what you do is do exit intent so when we uh when a visitor about to leave the page you do that um save it see it on all devices I would say they can see it every day whatever you know sometimes it might not appear if somebody I would just say see it every day and then you know you you would uh add the convert kit plugin into WordPress and then sync it in there add your API key in it’s really simple and then you would paste uh that setting would make this appear on all pages of your site so you can paste it in the header or I think the plug-in just does it so you have email address you could also add um let’s see you can add another form so like I want to add in first name so like first name and email first name email get the Guide send me the guide you can see the button right settings incentive so send email edit email content so you could send an initial email redirect people to you can send them right to the PDF here so the idea is we’re getting people into an email list to eventually sell something because that’s the most scalable business in the future is not just affiliate and AD revenue from a website but also selling your own product right eventually so the idea is you have a lead magnet you get them into a sequence if you just have 10 people in your email list you don’t have to really do anything yet I would just wait until you get in a few hundreds of people you want leads per day into this thing and I have other videos we’re not going to dive it into this one on exactly how to like optimize this the sales funnel process selling products and information online through email CU that’s primarily how it’s done another Revenue stream is sponsors so much like YouTube or podcast sponsors your blog can get sponsored you can either add people into articles like if you had an article ranking for the best woodworking tools you could a company would pay to be put number one in that spot so instead of joining individual affiliate programs and adding your affiliate links in you can get sponsors eventually or there’s things like you know a dedicated email send a dedicated new uh blog post that you write for them a review they’re willing to pay like Brands will be willing to pay for that so sponsorship is another one the biggest ones that are going to drive at the beginning is going to be affiliate revenue and AD Revenue you can run on those two indefinitely till the end of time but if you want to expand further that’s when the course thing and email stuff comes in and that can be really helpful because the days of like just only SEO to affiliate marketing are getting more difficult you have to be in way less competitive niches and things where media sites aren’t there so to build a real business we want to eventually have our own product which goes back to the initial conception of this whole thing so we know we can easily build a website in a few minutes we create a Content plan on keywords to rank for stuff but what do we actually write about like what Niche do we choose this is the number one problem and struggle that most people have and it’s kind of like the Chicken and the Egg scenario do you start with like you have to know the revenue streams and how they work first before you choose the niche you have to know how keyword research works first you have to know that well actually you don’t just need that you should also tie it to your identity because we need the freedom to Pivot when it might not work until we find something that does and give ourselves enough time to learn as we go fail forward make mistakes pivot learn adapt and actually give ourselves enough time to make money so what should this website be based on well it should be based on you your identity your experience right things that you’ve dealt with in your life if your face was on a homepage of a website what would you be teaching what audience would you be serving maybe what itch would you be scratching and how for them that youve you’ve solved yourself so the Big Choice usually comes down to do I go with my hobby experience or my professional experience do I go with like I’m a lawyer that loves to kayak well you kind of kind of gauge your pain tolerance like law keywords might be very competitive whereas kaying is not so it’s really like a lot of times it is easier to go with the hobby than it is to go with the professional business experience which is just a lot more competitive um but really teaching is key affiliate marketing ad Revenue courses sponsorships can all happen when you’re teaching you know people don’t read blogs for entertainment anymore this isn’t like you’re updating them on your life this is a way to extract money from the marketplace and help people make buying decisions and this is a personal brand so this is a thing that you can then pivot not just from Google which the algorithms have been crazy lately but also to social media YouTube LinkedIn Twitter Tik Tok Instagram you can choose a secondary platform based on your Niche so for example if you’re in Fitness it might make more sense to have like also a YouTube channel where you’re teaching stuff and you sell your own uh 20 to $50 Fitness course if you’re in fashion maybe it’s adding a Pinterest Channel and pinning your fashion Post in there to get traffic from Pinterest if it’s uh something like food and recipes maybe you start an Instagram with your blog so you put your recipes on your blog you have pictures of them on Instagram and then you link to a cookbook in the future right so we have to really like your Niche dictates the platform that you even start on cuz sometimes the beginners make the mistake of I want to start a website that’s the only thing I want to do but I’m going to do it on something like make money online or on like vpns or web hosting and it’s like well that’s going to be extremely stupid idea because it’s already oversaturated yes there’s some things you can talk about but we have to find things that aren’t so like if you’re here want to talk about crypto good luck ranking against like coinmarketcap.com and all the finance blogs and Mig media sites and CNBC on Google for stuff too competitive you should just start a YouTube channel talking about crypto your experience showing the charts and helping people and then having a lower price like Discord community and making money that way that’s way easier so we want to take the path of least resistance this has to be based on your personality what you actually want to do what you won’t quit over the next five years to build a true brand for yourself the good thing about personal branding too is like none of the effort on this website is ever wasted so I first built my website Adam enfroy docomo what I was doing I eventually moved it to WordPress but it was just like a way to maybe help me get a better job or showcase a little bit of expertise once it started getting traffic and I spotted keyword opportunities early on I spotted things like online course platforms as a keyword best podcast host best webinar software I was ranking for like business ideas and all kinds of different software and business terms and it started making a lot of money and it kind of shocked me to an extent right so it turned into a full-time job for me um one that allowed me to travel around work 10 hours a week for a while and then allowed me to teach this strategy build the YouTube channel turn this into multiple seven figure businesses but it all just started as a small personal brand website where I was writing one blog post a week and that’s kind of where everyone starts because you need to figure this stuff out as you go it’s going to be a little bit challenging at first so it is a bit multifaceted like you can build these different skills over time writing stuff keyword research creating videos if you’re doing YouTube like it’s good to gain these skills in this digital economy so ultimately let’s just publish the website so we would set up Google search console Google analytics really simple stuff you can have plugins for that then there’s other plugins you would use so you could use a lot of free stuff so we covered the main tools to use you could also use grammarly for your grammar and punctuation and that really helps your writing too if you’re uncomfortable with it it’ll just fix stuff for you um you could use y to SEO which is free kind of that one like lets you um sync your Google search console with your website so that syncs it in and tells Google your site right so you have to do that so you have to uncheck like discourage search engines from indexing my site you uncheck that on your site settings you make sure that every post is set to index um with the OST SEO it’s really simple you can see it that way you can use short pixel to optimize your images so we want to have small image files we don’t want to have like 10 megapixel Giant images that take forever to load we want to have a fast site uh thirsty Affiliates we covered that’s free easier table of contents is a good one that like give you tables of contents on the uh within your content and that’s pretty much it if you’re writing from Google Docs like you’re Outsourcing to another writer uh and they’re giving you Google Docs of the content you can use Mammoth docx converter that’s another free one and then for Sight speed you can you use WP rocket that’s a really good one to speed up your site that one’s $4.90 a month again that’s optional so ultimately we have a site that can make a lot of money that’s $77.40 a month uh for an entire business content driven business to learn these actual skills to set everything up for yourself and just to put content out there just stick to a Content schedule right that’s the that’s the key build topical Authority it’s going to be like building content in the background of your life while everything else is going on just kind of setting aside some time and doing this and the thing that’s great about a Content business is it just compounds over time right so the the effort you put in can keep getting you traffic views attention and money in the future the key is just getting started it’s not that complicated it doesn’t cost that much money and it was a business that scaled to 80k a month for me up to $100,000 a month multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars a month with the blog and YouTube channel and you can start it for like I said $50 to $77 a month if you so choose you can even go cheaper than that if you use something think like a cheap web host so that is the video I hope you
