एक लड़का जिसकी आंख जंगल के बीचों-बीच खुलती है। उसके शरीर को देखकर ऐसा लगता है कि जैसे वो अभी-अभी पैदा हुआ है। उसने ना तो कोई कपड़े पहन रखे हैं और ना ही उसके पास उसकी कुछ पुरानी याददाश्त है। उसे नहीं पता कि आखिर वो कौन है, कहां से आया और उसे कहां जाना है। अब कुछ देर तक जंगल में भटकने के बाद वह शहर तक पहुंचता है। जहां पर सभी लोग उसे देखकर बहुत ही ज्यादा हैरान थे क्योंकि उसने ऊपर से नीचे तक अपनी बॉडी पर कोई भी कपड़ा नहीं पहन रखा। वो शहर में सभी चीजों को ऐसे देख रहा था जैसे कि वह इन चीजों को पहली बार देख रहा हो। अब वो शहर में घूम रहा था कि अब तभी वहां पर पुलिस आ जाती है। पुलिस वाले उसे गिरफ्तार करके उसे डिटेंशन सेंटर ले जाते हैं। उसे बिना कपड़े पहने घूमने और लोगों को अश्लीलता दिखाने के चक्कर में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। पुलिस वाले जब उससे बात करने की कोशिश करते हैं तो वह लड़का उनकी बातों को समझ नहीं पाता और ना ही वह अपना नाम और अपने बारे में बता रहा था। तब वह पुलिस वाले अपने आप से ही उसका नाम रख देते हैं जो होता है काइल। इसके बाद काइल का मेडिकल चेकअप कराया जाता है जिसके अंदर दो बहुत ही बड़ी बातें सामने आती हैं। जिसमें पहली तो यह है कि काइल के पेट पर नाभि नहीं है और दूसरी यह है कि उसका शरीर बिल्कुल परफेक्ट है। ना ही तो उसके शरीर पर कोई झुर्री है और ना ही कोई पिंपल। यह देखकर तो डॉक्टर भी चौंक जाता है। खैर अब जब तक उसकी और ज्यादा रिपोर्टें आ रही थी, इतने उसे खाना देकर उसे डाइनिंग हॉल में भेज दिया जाता है। वो वहां पर जाकर तो बैठ जाता है, लेकिन उसे यह नहीं पता कि इस चीज को कैसे खाना है। तब वह अपने सामने बैठे एक लड़की की नकल करते हुए उसकी तरह खाता है। जिस चीज को वो लड़का नोटिस कर लेता है। उसे लगता है कि काल उसका मजाक उड़ा रहा है। वो लड़का काइल को मारने के लिए उसकी तरफ जाता है। लेकिन अब तभी बीच में डॉक्टर्स आकर उसे समझाते हैं। खैर अब बाद में जब यह सभी लड़के बाहर ग्राउंड में होते हैं तो वहां पर वही लड़का काइल के मुंह पर मुक्का मारता है। काइल नीचे गिर जाता है और कुछ देर बाद उसकी पट गीली हो जाती है। उसके इस अजीब बिहेवियर को देखकर गार्ड यह समझ नहीं पाते कि आखिर इसका क्या करें? तब वो सेंटर के साइकेटिस्ट निकोल को बुलाते हैं जो कि काइल से सवाल जवाब करेगी और यह पूछने की कोशिश करेगी कि आखिर काइल को हुआ क्या है? निकोल उससे बात करने की कोशिश करती है। लेकिन काइल उसकी बातों का कोई भी जवाब नहीं देता। तब निकोल उसे एक स्केच बनाने के लिए कहती है। तब काइल बिल्कुल प्रिंटर की तरह एक स्केच बनाता है। उसने एक कपल का स्केच बनाया था जिसे उसने जंगल में देखा था। अब इसके बाद निकोल काइल को अपने घर ले आती है ताकि वह निकोल के बारे में जान सके कि आखिर निकोल के साथ हुआ क्या है और वह ऐसा बिहेव क्यों कर रहा है। निकोल को इस बात का शक है कि शायद काइल के साथ कोई ना कोई बड़ा हादसा हुआ है। इसी वजह से उसे कुछ भी याद नहीं है। खैर अब इसके बाद हम निकोल की बेटी लोरी को देखते हैं जो कि अपने घर में काइल को देखकर पूरी तरीके से हैरान रह जाती है। वो जल्दी से अपनी मॉम के पास जाकर उनसे पूछती है कि आखिर यह लड़का कौन है? तब निकोल बताती है कि यह काइल है जो कि कुछ दिनों तक हमारे घर में ही रहेगा। बात करने में लगा होता है। खैर अब थोड़ी देर बाद कायल घर से बाहर जाता है। उसकी नजर एक तितली पर पड़ती है। तब वह बिना सोचे समझे उस तितली के पीछे जाने लगता है। बाहर उसे पड़ोस से ही कुछ आवाजें आती हैं। जब वो शाबाश का पीछा करते हुए उस घर में जाता है तो उसे पता चलता है कि एक लड़की अमंडा वहां पर पियानो बजा रही है। पियानो की आवाज सुनकर उसकी आंखों में आंसू आने लगते हैं। लेकिन उसे इस बारे में नहीं पता कि उसकी आंखों में आखिर ये आंसू क्यों आ रहा है। अब तभी अमंडा जैसे ही मुड़कर देखती है तो कायल उसका चेहरा देखकर वहां से भाग जाता है। वो तेजी से घर की तरफ आकर बाथरूम में छुप जाता है। इसी बीच लोरी का भाई जोस एक एडल्ट मैगज़ीन लेकर अंदर आता है। वो अपने पूरे फोकस के साथ उन मैगज़ीन को देख रहा था। उसे इस बात की खबर नहीं है कि बाथरूम में बैठा एक आदमी उसे भी देख रहा है। जैसे ही जो उसकी नजर वहां पर कायल पर पड़ती है, वह वहां से भागता है और भागने के चक्कर में उसकी मैगजीन नीचे गिर जाती है जिसे उसकी मॉम निकोल ने देख लिया था। निकोल जोस को ये सब चीज देखने पर बहुत ही ज्यादा डांटती है। लेकिन अब तभी उनके दरवाजे को कोई नोक करता है। जब निकोल वहां पर दरवाजे खोलती है तो वहां पर अमेंडा और उसकी मॉम थी। अमंडा की मॉम बताती है कि तुम्हारा यह जो मेहमान है यह बिना पूछे ही हमारे घर में घुस गया था कि इसे थोड़ी बहुत भी अकल-बकल नहीं है। इसे समझा कर रखो। वो अपनी बेटी अमंडा से कहती है कि अमंडा चलो सच बताओ। लेकिन अमंडा तो वहां पर कायल की आंखों में खोई हुई थी। यह दोनों एक दूसरे को बहुत ही मोहब्बत की निगाहों से देख रहे थे। इसके बाद अमंडा की मॉम उसे वहां से लेकर चली जाती है। अब उस रात जब निकोल का हस्बैंड स्टीफन घर वापस आता है तो वहां पर निकोल स्टीफन को काइल से मिलवाती है और बताती है कि कुछ दिनों तक यहां पर रुकने वाला है। खैर अब जब यह सभी लोग रात को बैठकर डिनर कर रहे होते हैं तो वहां पर काइल पहली बार बोलता है। लेकिन इसके मुंह से जो यह शब्द निकले थे वो गालियां थी। दरअसल यह बातें उसने डिटेंशन सेंटर के लड़कों से कैप्चर की थी। इसके बाद वह बिना सोचे समझे वही बातें दोहराने लगता है जो कि लोरी अपने बॉयफ्रेंड से कॉलिंग पर कह रही थी। सभी को यह सुनकर बहुत ही ज्यादा हैरानी होती है कि लोरी अपने बॉयफ्रेंड के साथ भागने वाली थी। निकोल के दोनों बच्चे कायल से बहुत ही ज्यादा गुस्सा हैं। खैर अब अगली सुबह जोश जब अपना होमवर्क कर रहा होता है तो वो कायल को कुछ सवाल करने के लिए कहता है। तब कायल बिना किसी दिक्कत के सभी सवालों के जवाब दे देता है। यह देखकर निकोल और जोश दोनों हैरान रहते हैं। अब इस चीज से यह तो साबित हो जाता है कि कायल ना तो कोई बेवकूफ है और ना ही उसकी समझ में कमी है। बल्कि उसकी अजीब हरकतों के पीछे कुछ अलग ही राज छुपा हुआ है। इसके बाद जब कायल के आईक्यू टेस्ट का रिजल्ट आया तो सबके होश उड़ गए। उसका आईक्यू 400 से भी पार था। अब यह देखकर डॉक्टर्स ने उस पर और ज्यादा टेस्ट करने का फैसला किया। उन्होंने जब उसके दिमाग का एमआरआई टेस्ट किया तो उन्हें यह पता चला कि काइल का दिमाग एक नॉर्मल इंसान के दिमाग से बहुत ज्यादा डेवलप हो चुका है। उसकी ब्रेन एक्टिविटी इतनी ज्यादा तेज थी कि या तो वो कोई एलियन हो सकता था या फिर कोई रोबोट। खैर, अब रात को निकोल जब कायल को लेकर अपने घर पहुंचती है तो उसने जोस को काइल के साथ रूम शेयर करने के लिए कहा जो कि जोस को बिल्कुल भी पसंद नहीं आया। अब जब रात में सब सो रहे होते हैं तो वहां पर काइल ने देखा कि लोरी गेट से बाहर कहीं जा रही है। तब वह भी उसके पीछे-पीछे जाता है। हमें पता चलता है कि लोरी एक पार्टी में आई थी। वहां का माहौल देखकर कायल भी उनके साथ हो गया। लेकिन अब तभी वहां पर पुलिस आ जाती है। एक ऑफिसर वहां पर लोरी को अपने साथ ले जाने की कोशिश करता है। तभी काल वहां पर आकर उसे रोकता है। उसका चेहरा अजीब सा हो गया था और वह सांप जैसी आवाज निकालता है। यह देखकर सभी लोग हंसने लगते हैं। लेकिन जब वो ऑफिसर काइल को हथकड़ियां पहनाने के लिए जाता है तो वह तुरंत ही हट गया। अब तो वो ऑफिसर गुस्से में आकर उसे मारने के लिए जाता है। लेकिन काइल बहुत ही आराम से उसके सहारे बाढ़ से बच रहा था। यह देखकर ऑफिसर को भी थोड़ी शर्मिंदगीगी महसूस होती है और वह उससे बिना कुछ कहे वहां से चला गया। इसके बाद कायल वहां से लोरी को सेफली घर ले आया। अब अगले दिन वह अपनी गलतियां सुधारने का फैसला करता है और वह धीरे-धीरे करके इस फैमिली का दिल जीतने लगा। सबसे पहले वो स्टीफन का कंप्यूटर रिपेयर करता है और उन डॉक्यूमेंट्स को वापस भिला देता है जो कि वह महीनों से लाने की कोशिश कर रहा था। फिर वो जोश का रूम साफ करता है और उसके लिए एक नई मैगजीन भी लाकर रखता है जिसे देखकर जोस को भी अच्छा लगता है। ऐसे छोटे-मोटे काम कर कर काइल ने इस घर का दिल जीत लिया। निकोल ये देखकर सोचती है कि जब तक काइल के पास्ट के बारे में पता नहीं नहीं है। उसके हाथ जो भी चीज लगती वह खाने लग जाता। चाहे तो फिर वह कच्चा हो या फिर पका हुआ। एक दिन जब कायल यार्ड में था तो वैन में बैठा एक आदमी उस पर नजर रख रहा था। अब पहले तो काइल ने इग्नोर किया लेकिन धीरे-धीरे करके वो हर जगह उसे दिखने लगा। अब यह बात तो क्लियर हो चुकी है कि जरूर उस पर कोई ना कोई तो नजर रख रहा है। अब कुछ दिन बाद जब निकोल काइल को डॉक्टर के पास लेकर गई तो डॉक्टर पूरी तरीके से हैरान था। काइल की बॉडी को अंदर से देखने पर उसकी बॉडी बिल्कुल नई दिखाई दे रही थी। जैसे उसके शरीर पर कभी जिंदगी में चोट लगी ना हो और तो और उसका आईक्यू भी बहुत ज्यादा तेज था। अब डॉक्टर ने एक दिन काल को नींद की गोली दी ताकि उसे नींद आ सके। लेकिन गोली खाने के बाद भी काइल को पूरी रात 1% भी नींद नहीं आती। स्टीफन को यह लगा कि शायद काइल के पास एक्स्ट्रा एनर्जी है। उसे जल्दी थकान नहीं होती। इस वजह से वो सुबह के टाइम उसे रनिंग पर ले जाता है। स्टीफन पहले एक रनर रह चुका था। उसे ऐसा लगता है कि वो काइल को जल्दी थका देगा। लेकिन स्टीफन थक जाता है बल्कि कायल नहीं थकता बल्कि वह तो एक ओलंपिक रनर की तरह भाग रहा था। स्टीफन घर आकर निकोल से कहता है कि देखो निकोल मुझे नहीं लगता कि कायल कोई नॉर्मल इंसान है। इसलिए तुम जाकर इसे वहीं पर छोड़ आओ जहां से तुम इसे लेकर आई थी। इनकी ये सारी बातें कायल भी सुन रहा था और उसे ये बातें सुनकर बहुत ही ज्यादा बुरा लगता है और वह बिना किसी को बताए घर से भाग गया। स्टीफन ने उसे हर जगह ढूंढने की कोशिश की लेकिन वो उसे कहीं पर भी नहीं मिला। अब तभी निकोल को वहां पर काइल द्वारा बनाई हुई कुछ स्केच दिखाई देती हैं और एक स्केच पर जो जगह बनी हुई थी उस जगह को निकोल जानती है। इसके बाद वो लोग बिना वक्त गवाए टॉर्च लेकर उस तरफ निकल पड़े और आखिरकार वहां पर उन्हें कायल मिल भी गया। वो आसमान की तरफ तारे देख रहा था। यह लोग काल को एक बार फिर से अपने घर लेकर आते हैं। जहां पर स्टीफन कायल से सॉरी कहता है। खैर अब थोड़ी देर बाद कार्ल को वहां पर एक रेडियो दिखाई देता है जिसके अंदर से कुछ आवाजें आ रही थी। वो आवाजें उसे बहुत ही ज्यादा अच्छी लगी और उस रात पहली बार कायल को नींद आई। खैर अब अगले दिन निकोल के पास पुलिस का कॉल आता है। वो लोग बताते हैं कि हमें जहां पर कायल मिला था वहां पर हमें एक डेड बॉडी का कंकाल भी मिला है। पुलिस का कहना था कि कायल एक कातिल भी हो सकता है। तुमसे जितना हो सके तुम कायल से दूर रहना। एजेंट टेलर काइल से बात करना चाहता था। लेकिन निकोल बात को टाल देती है। खैर अब अगली सुबह जैसे ही कायल उठता है तो वह टीवी देखने की कोशिश करता है। लेकिन उसके टीवी पर सिग्नल नहीं आ रहे तब वह बिना किसी देरी के सीधा छत पर चढ़ जाता है और एंटीना को सीधा कर देता है। लेकिन जब वह वापस आ रहा था तो वह ऐसे ही सीधा छत पर से कूद जाता है। यह चीज अमंडा ने भी देख ली थी। अमंडा घबराकर अपनी गाड़ी को एक कचरे के डब्बे में ठोक देती है। अब तभी काइल बिना किसी चोट के उसके सामने आ जाता है। अमेंडा यह देखकर हैरान होती है कि कायल तो इतने ऊपर से गिरा था। लेकिन उसके शरीर पर एक भी चोट का निशान नहीं है। खैर अमंडा की मॉम जो कि पहले से ही कायल से बहुत ही ज्यादा चिढ़ती थी। वो कार की हालत को देखकर बहुत ही ज्यादा गुस्सा करती हैं। वो वहां पर अमंडा को उल्टा सीधा सुनाने लगती है। लेकिन अब तभी वहां पर कल आता है और कहने लगता है कि इसमें अमेंड की कोई भी गलती नहीं है। सारी गलती मेरी है। तब यह सुनकर अमंडा की मॉम भी चुप पड़ गई। रात को जब स्टीफन अपने घर पहुंचता है तो वो निकोल को बताता है कि पुलिस को एक बहुत ही बड़ी बात पता चली है और वह यह है कि जिस दिन कायल मिला था उस दिन एक आदमी भी लापता हो गया था। इधर यह आदमी इनके सारी बातें स्पीकर के जरिए सुन रहा था। खैर अब जब सुबह के टाइम में निकोल अपने घर की सफाई कर रही होती है तो वहां पर उसे काइल द्वारा बनाई हुई कुछ स्केच दिखाई देती हैं। इन स्केचेस में एक पैटर्न जुड़ा हुआ होता है। जब वो उन स्केच को जोड़कर देखती है तो उसे एक सिंबल दिखाई देता है। वही सिंबल जो कि क्राइम सीन पर मिला था। अब इस बात से यह तो कंफर्म हो जाता है कि कााइल भी वहां पर मौजूद था और इस केस से उसका कोई ना कोई कनेक्शन है। इधर दूसरी तरफ अमेंडा ने लाइफ गार्ड की नौकरी ले ली है। काइल जो कि अमेंड को बहुत ही ज्यादा पसंद किया करता था वो उसे इंप्रेस करने के लिए पानी में कूद जाता है। लेकिन अब तभी काइल पानी में डूबने लगा। तब अमंडा सही समय पर आकर उसे बाहर निकालती है। यह देखकर वहां पर मौजूद सभी लोग काइल पर हंसने लगे। अब उसी दिन शाम को अमंडा काइल से मिलने के लिए उसके घर आती है। यह देखने के लिए कि आखिर काइल ठीक भी है या फिर नहीं। लेकिन जब अमंडा उसके रूम में जाती है तो उसे पता चलता है कि कायल यहां पर है ही नहीं। उसी वक्त अमंडा को वहां पर कायल के सारे स्केचेस दिख जाते हैं। उन स्केचेस में बहुत सारे स्केचेस तो अमेंड के भी थे जो कि काइल ने बनाए थे। उसे लगता है कि शायद काइल उसे अंदर ही अंदर जाता है। खैर अब अगले दिन पूल में अमंडा काइल को तैरना सिखाती है और कुछ बेसिक टिप्स मिलने के बाद काइल तो एक प्रोफेशनल ही ज्यादा सिमिलर थे। अब काइल सोचता है कि वो अमंडा के लिए एक बहुत ही अच्छा सरप्राइज़ बनाएगा। उसने अमंडा के फादर और अपने स्किल मिलाकर एक बहुत ही अच्छा पोर्ट्रेट बनाया और अब बस उसे थोड़ी बहुत हिम्मत जुटाकर यह गिफ्ट किसी तरीके से अमंडा को देना था। अब रात को गाइल जोस के साथ एक पार्टी में जाता है। जहां पर अमंडा भी आने वाली थी। अब जैसे ही अमंडा वहां पर आई तो कायल के अरमानों पर पानी फिर गया क्योंकि अमेंडा के साथ था उसका बॉयफ्रेंड चार्ली। कायल का दिल पूरी तरीके से टूट चुका था। उसने जो स्केच अमंडा के लिए बनाई थी वो उसे जाकर फेंक देता है। उस रात काल को अच्छी तरीके से नींद भी नहीं आती। अब अगले दिन दूसरा आदमी को शूट कर कर मार देता है। काइल हड़बड़ाकर उसका नाम पुकारता है टॉम फोस। अब यह नाम सुनते ही निकोल का दिमाग घूम जाता है। निकोल बताती है कि जब वह पुलिस स्टेशन गई थी तो उसने यह नाम सुना था। दरअसल टॉम एक नया ऑफिसर है जो कि कुछ समय पहले ही इस शहर में आया है। अब निकोल के दिमाग में हजार सवाल चल रहे थे। निकोल काइल से कहती है कि तुमने जो भी कुछ अपने सपने में देखा तुम उस चीज का स्केच बना कर दो। तब कायल भी बहुत ही सावधानी के साथ उस जैसा ही पोट्रेट बनाने लगता है। अब जब वो लोग उन पोट्रेट को देखते हैं तो उनमें से एक पोर्ट्रेट उसी आदमी का था जिसको टॉम फोर्स ने गोली मारी थी। इस आदमी का नाम फ्रेडमैन है। फ्रेडमैन एक यूनिवर्सिटी में प्रोफेसर था और वह ह्यूमन मेमोरी में बहुत ही ज्यादा एक्सपर्ट है। अब यह कंफर्म हो गया था कि जंगल में जो हड्डियां मिली थी वो फ्रेडमैन की थी। अब सवाल तो यह था कि फ्रेडमैन का कायल से क्या संबंध है? इन्हीं सवालों का जवाब जानने के लिए यह लोग उस यूनिवर्सिटी में जाते हैं। यूनिवर्सिटी में पहुंचकर एक बहुत ही बड़ा खुलासा होता है। वहां पर एक फोटो लगी हुई थी जिसमें फ्रेडमैन के स्टूडेंट दिख रहे होते हैं। जिनमें से एक काइल भी था। लेकिन जब वहां पर फ्रेडमैन की असिस्टेंट से काइल के बारे में पूछा जाता है तो उसे काइल के बारे में कुछ भी पता नहीं था। वह कहती है कि उसने सालों तक प्रोफेसर के साथ काम किया है लेकिन उसने कभी भी काइल को नहीं देखा। इसके बाद वो लोग काइल का मेमोरी टेस्ट करते हैं। उस मेमोरी टेस्ट के हर टेस्ट में काइल 100% स्कोर करता है। वो असिस्टेंट पूरी तरीके से हैरान रह जाती है क्योंकि अभी तक ऐसा कभी भी नहीं हुआ। वो असिस्टेंट बताती है कि जब मैं फ्रेडमैन के साथ रहती थी तो मुझे यह बात पता चली कि फ्रेडमैन इंसान के दिमाग के ऊपर एक रिसर्च कर रहा है। उनका यह कहना था कि इंसान सिर्फ अपने दिमाग का 10% यूज़ करता है। लेकिन मैं अपने साइन से इंसान के दिमाग का 100% यूज़ कर दिखाऊंगा। अब यह बातें सुनकर हमें भी यह लगता है कि शायद काइल भी फ्रेडमैन के प्रोजेक्ट का हिस्सा रहा होगा। तभी तो वह इतना तेज है। और यह भी हो सकता है कि शायद इसी वजह से फ्रेडमैन की जान ली गई हो। इन लोगों को उस कॉलेज में फ्रेडमैन के कुछ डॉक्यूमेंट्स भी मिलते हैं जिन पर वही सिंबल बना हुआ होता है जो
