what’s up guys welcome back to another video today we are gonna do another episode of show and voice [Music] on a typical day i will have at least three to four scripts that i have to record every day and i only do that between two to three hours per day but i was so in the zone yesterday that i actually recorded the scripts that i was supposed to do today i did them all yesterday now i don’t have anything to do i’m gonna bring you behind the scenes of what happens when i don’t have any scripts to do and we’re gonna start sending out auditions to new jobs voice actors have a lot of different ways to find projects don’t get me wrong there are a lot you can throw go through agencies you can go through physical auditions so many ways to find new jobs but i specifically only go through five websites and this is specifically fiverr upwork backstage mandy and casting call club i’m gonna show you all of them today and if i see something that i’d like to audition for you’re gonna be with me okay okay so first of all let’s go through my fiverr like i said i already delivered my scripts for yesterday but if i were to look for more jobs on fiverr i would click on the more button over here and go to buyer requests and see if there are any voice projects that i’d like or i support um voiceover there we go for ten dollars they say please read this before you answer i’m looking for a permanent british male voiceover so that’s not me i’m not british i’m not mild so we have to scroll past that i’m looking for a german voiceover nope looking for a dark low scary voice 10 seconds nope i don’t want that either looking for a vo we are looking for female 40 to 65 canadian english no we have no luck on fiverr i don’t like the projects that are here some of them are too low some of them just really don’t fit me some of them i really just can’t apply because i don’t fit the description so let’s go on to upwork and see for upwork they automatically give me some of the jobs or some of the projects that i’m going to be fit with so that’s what i like about this um project so here it says north american accent voiceover need for product demos ongoing looking to hire two freelancers at forage we believe the talent is is evenly distributed but opportunity is not we love every student so they’re looking for intermediate okay five to ten minutes um [Music] five to six hours in total to complete recording scripts between 5 to 10 minutes successful candidates will need to narrate the script while demoing a job simulation via screen ah there’s opportunity per video [Music] i like this job but not yet this job needs you to open up a camera and be there um i’m only looking for just voice i just i’m just not comfortable with my environment deep baritone with indian accent i don’t know how voice over work for a minute long script let’s see this one hello louise who’s louise we’re looking to hire you again [Music] oh what i think they like no that’s that must be wrong well i’m not louise so i think this is louise [Music] okay this looks like a good job but i’m not louise it seems like they’re they posted this publicly and it seems like they’re looking for someone named louise so never mind american voiceover talent female american artist i just don’t like it because there’s no payment method verified voice over for youtube videos okay we’re looking for a well spoken british voice nope never mind voiceover american accent so i’m not interested in advertising high tone voice i wanted something that sounds convincing and genuine i can be that person so location united states i need to be in the us to do this why hire voiceover artists i need an urgent to help me on a video that doesn’t have a payment verified um willing to professionally record voiceovers voice over artists and looking for a script the first script is um it will be used in presentation i don’t want to apply to this just because there’s just so many proposals already which probably means i’m too late i kind of applied to projects that have like anywhere between five to ten um proposals first you know sometimes not every script that i applied to or not every position that i applied to doesn’t have to be like the the highest paid project on earth sometimes as long as i support the project i’d i’d actually be happy to do it for free as long as i support the project okay so we’ve reached the end of upwork and i don’t i don’t find anything interesting as well or anything that fits me or anything that i support so now i’m gonna bring it to the next website that i go to is backstage so i click on find jobs i click on voiceover artists because that’s what i am and then i typically look for female and then i look for ages until say 45 because that’s kind of my age range 20 to 45 and location i want to just show only work from home because i don’t i currently don’t have time to go to studios i would choose then any compensation because typically it’s not like i only care about the money i really love being a voice over artist and sometimes i have done many types of work for free just because i support the project so it says seeking voice over for introduction a student film seeking voices for characters of a short animated film is meant to show the common and harmless situations of being introduced to someone but seen from the perspective of an extremely introverted and anxious person so like look at this one i am actually supporting this project i don’t know i don’t think it’s paid for so projects like this i would actually apply even without pay so um all of them are i’m gonna look at the details of the three characters and see which one will suit me twenties denise is an is very introverted and has social anxiety although she seems quite comfortable around people she knows as soon as someone new joins the conversations she gets nervous and awkward i am actually some i kind of relate to denise but her body reacts with trembling sweating and increased heartbeat although we only hear her thoughts in the film her voice should be reflect her growing anxiety i think this fits me perfectly i’m actually like this during social situations like i love the people that i’m with but when someone new enters the crowd and i’m not really comfortable with them i panic nina confident and rather sassy i can probably do this amy she’s spontaneous friendly validations but constantly throws words of validations as others speak such as yeah absolutely i know so true so high energy friend okay okay i found a project that i’m passionate about and i’m gonna show you how we send in submissions for these so i’m gonna click on apply typically they would have like what the character looks like so the voice artist further imagine themselves so this is amy the high and energetic one right yeah that’s the one this one’s the one that always gives out validations for others while nina doesn’t listen much takes over the conversations and is very sassy so this is nina okay so i can already be imagining a voice for her like say for amy it would be like high and friendly oh yeah i know absolutely something with high energy like that but for nina it’s like really um i’d like to take over the conversation please i i really don’t i really don’t care about what you’re thinking right now and i really don’t care what what you’re talking about right now let’s just focus about me so i i feel like she’s narcissistic and some kind of sassy so so i think that’s gonna be the voice for nina in my head um and let’s see for denise she’s the shy girl oh my god there’s another [Music] hi thank you thank you so much really i think that’s really nice of you to to tell me about that experience of yours i want to leave this party usually when we apply for something like this we would have like a script to read but for this i don’t think they’re looking for any but i would like to create my own so i already have a few of my voices and voice impressions and character voices that i already have done before right here and what i’ll do is i’m just going to delete the ones that do not fit whatever the application was asking for and we’re ready to apply for the role of denise submit application unfortunately i couldn’t show you like the way i record auditions because it doesn’t have a script so anyway let’s look at all the others done so that’s it for today it’s a different kind of show and voice video because i didn’t really voice anything but i am showing you the behind the scenes of what really happens for voice actors this is what we do when we don’t have projects or we don’t have anything else to do we just search for new jobs i i’m not even done yet actually because there’s there’s uh mandy voices and this is also some of the there are also some characters over here and then i go to casting call club there are a million of characters over here like i said there are a lot of
