there’s a difference between making cute home decor prints and fine art prints whichever you want to do is fine but a printer is going to be a big factor in determining which is which to help you pick your printer I’m going to give you three different levels of printers level one are the printers that are dye based inks this is most of the home printers on the market and are usually more budget friendly I have one it’s a Canon G60 20. there’s about 200 or 250 dollars and I mostly use it for packaging like thank you cards the thing about level one printers is that they’re not the best Footprints you want to last a long time while some of the Epson and Canon dye based inks can now last up to 20 years even if you want your print to last longer than 25 years it’s best to use pigment inks and here are some of the common dye ink printers that artists use the Canon Pro 100 or the newer version the Pro 200 the Canon ts9521c the Canon Pixma ip8750 or ip8720 the Epson Expression photo HD XP 15000 the Epson XP 970 and some of the Epson Eco tanks alright so moving on to what I would call Level 2 printers
