built my own SEO agency from scratch earn Financial Freedom and then moved out to Thailand to live my dream lifestyle and I’m not saying this to BRAC but you might as well learn from someone who’s actually been there and done it so let’s jump straight to reach this point I didn’t do anything fancy or special I used to work nine to five in a sales job and I was really bad at it at the time I had everything the company car a good salary everything I thought I wanted but for some reason I hated that job and I knew I had to do something different after a while my performance started to suffer and I was fired this happened with my first few jobs actually and it turns out that getting fired was one of the best things that could have happened to me I think if I got too comfortable I might have stayed there for way longer than I should have and after getting fired I didn’t really know what I was going to do next one thing I was certain about is that I wanted to live in Thailand so me and a few Mace of Mind visited for a holiday and loved it so much that we made a pact we said that we’re going to make 10K per month and live in a pimp house in Chiang Mai playing Skyrim all day one of my mates actually did that hey you finally awake now the question was how was I ever going to make that happen I knew a bit about marketing so I started around sales copy as a freelancer and it was okay but the problem was it wasn’t scalable and I wasn’t making much money doing it I wasn’t really going anywhere and I knew it but then some friends taught me about link building so I started doing it for my own website and it worked so well I thought maybe I could probably do this for a few other people I didn’t know at the time but this was the turning point for me I made the decision and changed my profile on upload.com to be completely focused on link building pretty soon I was able to land my first job building backlinks for a Mongolian real estate company when I got on the sales call I was literally terrified I had no idea what I was doing or what I was selling I said I’m going to figure it out when I get my first sale so that’s what I did and it actually worked it kept getting better and within 30 days I was already up to four thousand dollars a month so I kept selling on artwork I had to make my offer super easy to understand let’s be honest building backlinks isn’t a sexy service so to sell it I made it simple and appealing to people in the beginning I tried to put backlinks people knew exactly what they were getting for their money and the more clients I got the more I found my offer and made my service better and better pretty soon I was able to move out to Chiang Mai but unfortunately I was just too busy all day to play Skyrim my agency was my new game in a way every ounce of time I would spend in a condo getting clients and building backlinks for them literally from like 6am to 9pm at night I will be working I didn’t value my health at the time so I was sat in a shitty chair that eventually screwed up and over my back back my back it was at that point that I realized it was time to start hiring people and scaling these things to the next level so I hired my first VA to build backlinks for three dollars an hour I recorded the video of how to do all the link building side of things so it’s really easy for him to do it and three dollars an hour in his home country was really good money so it was a win-win for both of us and that’s how over time I grew my agency and scaled by hiring the right people now the agency has scaled to over 70 people and I have people managing every single side of the business so I don’t really need to work much I’ve got a marketing manager someone managing this YouTube channel I’ve even got people managing Recruitment and this is why I say one of the most important things you can do is start hiring people or you’re going to struggle to grow your business so if you’re struggling to get momentum I would say have a solid goal my goal was 10K per month and to move to Chiang Mai it was simple and straightforward take action quickly if I got stuck overthinking everything I would never have landed that first client that got the ball rolling take a product or service that’s easy to understand scalable and clearly communicates how it can help someone and Market yourself I use that work but that’s just one way to get in front of people there are tons of options out there hire good people as soon as you possibly can that’s how you scale up and free up your time and energy to do
